Laboratory Operations Associate

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and workflow
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the receipt and quality check of consignments and shipments.
• Opening shipments and verifying patient information forms; escalating issues to senior staff when needed.
• Conducting secondary checks to ensure no specimens are left in kit packaging.
• Managing correct disposal or recycling of kit shipping supplies.
• Supporting and responding to after-hour alarms and other critical job functions.
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and supply inventory functions.
• Ensuring a clean and organized workstation as requested by management.
• Following safety procedures and adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work requirements (computer, typing, reading small prints). Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
