Lab Technician

Demonstrates appropriate use of office equipment/software after training

Intermediate MS Office Skills: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Associates degree with 1+ years’ experience in a customer facing role within a scientific environment OR High School Diploma with 2+ years’ experience in a customer facing role within a scientific environment

Supports lab maintenance, performs routine cleaning, and assists in general lab operation
Will be trained in their basic responsibilities and given standard protocols so that they consistently perform their duties with supervision
Receives training on additional tasks when their day-to-day tasks are mastered
Develops a basic understanding of recombinant proteins and tagging schemes, protein expression protocols for fermentation and/or cell culture
May be tasked with more complex activities relating to fermentation and insect/mammalian cell culture workflows as they advance in the role
Adheres to standards of documentation and reporting
Collateral duties may be assigned in discussion with the manager
Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment
