Requirements
- Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team
- Ability to operate independently across the majority of day-to-day responsibilities
- Strong knowledge in KYC and AML regulations and how they are applied in a U.S. banking environment, familiarity with Cayman, Canada, and UK KYC regulations a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including problem structuring, analysis, and ability to translate issues into actionable items and recommendations
- Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm’s core values and acting as a role model
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes
- Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues
- Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contribution
- Conduct detailed reviews of client’s KYC records to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies and procedures
- Independently manage requests from business units, build relationships to better understand ISG clients and their businesses
- Review and respond to exception reports and management reports designed to help manage/mitigate risk (regulatory risk, operational risk, etc.), workload, and performance of staff. Improve quality and effectiveness of these reports and coordinate with others to establish new reports where needed
- Ensure high process quality scores and address findings identified in PQ checks
Preferred Qualifications
- FINRA 99 series and/or ACAMS certifications a plus but not required
