Requirements
- Eighteen months experience in a social service, rehabilitative, or correctional program with primary responsibility for guiding individuals or groups in the solution of occupational, educational, personal or social problems; OR
- An Associates Degree in Criminal Science, Criminal Justice, the Behavioral Sciences, Human Services or a related field
Responsibilities
- Transport youth to and from facilities, court appearances, appointments, and community programs—ensuring safety, documentation, and adherence to OYA transport procedures.
- Support case management by assisting with assessments, documentation, and follow-ups to help Juvenile Parole/Probation Officers implement individualized reformation plans.
- Monitor youth progress in educational, vocational, treatment, and community settings—offering guidance and reinforcing positive behavioral change.
- Collaborate with families and partners to coordinate services, arrange transitional visits, and maintain community connections that support each youth’s success.
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment by using a developmental approach, applying cultural humility, and participating in DEI-related training and practices.
