Requirements

  • Must hold current Massachusetts electrical license
  • Possess working knowledge of typical industrial instrumentation and be able to perform calibrations and configuration of such devices
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming
  • Excellent communication skill: exhibit the ability to interact effectively with various types of people, and to drive compliance by ensuring the team understands how their work affects the overall success of the company
  • Knowledge in various electrical software platforms for programming
  • Proficient at PC office software such as excel, word, PowerPoint etc
  • Detail oriented, commitment to deliver results
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on tight timelines
  • Excellent communication capability in both spoken and written

Responsibilities

  • Respond to electrical trouble calls throughout the Clinton and Devens facilities inspecting and repairing a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, power distribution, smoke and fire detectors, security alarm, and automation systems
  • Install new complete electrical circuits from buss bar or other source to equipment or other point of operation to include: Cutting, bending, threading, installing conduit, using PVC & EMT, and Flex Material
  • Read and Execute Electrical Drawings (i.e. pull and tag/land wire)
  • Mounting electrical panels, switchgear and motor control centers
  • Performing basic continuity electrical checks and grounding faults and OHM tests
  • Prepare electric projects, layout materials and tools
  • Ability to follow basic electrical and low/high voltage instructions
  • Obtain required permits for electrical and fire safety installs when needed
  • Safely perform the functions of this position while following and applying the proper safety guidelines such as PPE, LO-TO and job hazard analysis
  • Collaborate with the project management group on creating a scope of work and coordinating contractors to execute projects end to end
  • Responsible for all departmental logs/record keeping and labor recording pertinent to their day-to-day job duties
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with all maintenance department co-workers, outside contractors and vendors
  • Responds to off hour emergency calls on a rotating schedule
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities with other trades in the department as assigned. Understand HVAC equipment operation and utilize BMS to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Training or certification is preferred
  • Project and team management experience
  • Experience working in matrix organization
