Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with SAP FICO modules, with deep knowledge of financial accounting, controlling processes, and integration with other SAP modules.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with tax automation solutions like Vertex or similar tax compliance tools.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Ariba, particularly in indirect procurement, sourcing, and supplier lifecycle & management.
  • Proficiency in configuring and deploying solutions within ERP platforms, including SAP Ariba and SAP FICO modules, to support core business functions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in addressing complex ERP system issues, particularly in multi-platform environments involving SAP and tax automation systems.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis, system debugging, and resolution of performance-related issues within SAP Ariba, SAP FICO, and Vertex platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of solutions within SAP Ariba, SAP FICO, and Vertex to meet evolving business needs in finance, procurement, and tax functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and drive implementations that align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP and Vertex systems, providing functional and technical guidance to ensure optimal system usage and integration.
  • Manage end-to-end solution delivery, from configuration and testing to deployment and post-deployment support, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering a high-quality product.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving incidents, ensuring timely recovery and minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain standards, templates, and documentation for finance, procurement, and tax systems, ensuring the consistency and quality of deliverables.
  • Set and enforce high standards for solution design and delivery, ensuring compliance with best practices and enterprise architecture standards across SAP and Vertex solutions.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional and outsourced technical teams, with a focus on Agile/Scrum framework to deliver complex, multi-functional solutions on time and within scope.
  • Serve as the technical authority within Agile Scrum teams, facilitating collaboration between business stakeholders, developers, and external partners.
  • Implement robust quality assurance processes to verify that all technical solutions meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to streamline processes for finance, procurement, and tax teams, optimizing system performance and scalability.
  • Proactively identify and recommend system and process improvements to enhance performance, user experience, and efficiency.
  • Champion the adoption of new functionalities, tools, and methodologies to future-proof ERP systems and keep them aligned with strategic business objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, SAP and Vertex advancements, and relevant emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in SAP FICO, SAP Ariba, or Vertex are strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering value within Agile Scrum teams, preferably using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Certification or demonstrated proficiency in Scaled Agile Framework is a plus.
