Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (Internship experience does not apply).
  • At least 5 years of working experience in Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and IaaC.
  • At least 4 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring development teams using agile methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complicated analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to perform autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise DevOps roadmap, aligning with business priorities and growth goals.
  • Lead and mentor a global DevOps team to scale platform capabilities and accelerate software delivery.
  • Champion modern DevOps methodologies including CI/CD pipelines, IaC, observability, and cloud-native deployment strategies.
  • Represent the DevOps organization in executive-level discussions, providing visibility into delivery performance, innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging DevOps tools and frameworks that improve productivity, resilience, and developer experience.
  • Drive experimentation and the adoption of new practices in automation, testing, and secure delivery pipelines.
  • Lead strategic initiatives for platform automation, application containerization, and cloud migration across AWS and Azure.
  • Oversee and guide the use of Terraform for managing IaaC deployments across AWS and Azure.
  • Lead DevOps implementation efforts on ECS and EKS, ensuring scalable and secure container orchestration.
  • Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and monitoring solutions using modern toolsets.
  • Collaborate closely with application teams, architects, product leaders, and security to support high-velocity, compliant delivery pipelines.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units and technology partners, aligning DevOps with cross-functional priorities.
  • Present roadmaps, metrics, and outcomes to C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure high system reliability and performance through advanced observability and proactive incident management.
  • Define and track key DevOps metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, etc.) to improve organizational agility.
  • Promote a culture of security, compliance, and continuous improvement across engineering practices.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a high-impact DevOps team committed to innovation and operational excellence.
  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, empowerment, and continuous learning.
  • Foster collaboration between onshore and offshore resources to maximize efficiency and coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in health care fields is a plus.
