7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for Summer Internships.  Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (10-12 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders.  Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership.  The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in IT due diligence by gathering and analyzing data on systems, applications, and infrastructure across merging entities.

• Support gap analysis to identify IT redundancies, integration challenges, and areas for process improvement.

• Help document business and technical requirements, ensuring IT systems align with business goals.

• Contribute to developing business cases for IT integration initiatives, assessing cost, risk, ROI, and operational impact.

• Assist in project planning and execution, including tracking timelines, dependencies, and risks.

• Support data migration, system consolidation, and application decommissioning efforts while ensuring security and compliance.

• Work closely with IT, business, and external stakeholders, participating in meetings and providing analytical support.

• Develop reports, presentations, and process documentation to assist senior team members in decision-making

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business Analytics, IT Security, Project Management or related fields
• Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
• Basic understanding of Software development lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
