Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current Ohio license or interim permit
- Three years of oncology experience
- Basic PC and keyboard skills required
Responsibilities
- Manage telephone calls within the defined scope of practice
- Complete an initial call assessment and triage the call based on the assessment
- Use established triage algorithms to guide assessment and interventions
- Document the assessment and management of the call into the organizational electronic medical record
- Follow up and assist in resolving post-discharge or post-procedure calls
- Serve as a clinical resource for James scheduling staff for referral based needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) – preferred
- Experience in telephone assessment and management – preferred
