Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience in relevant fields such as impact investing, venture philanthropy, and/or direct experience working in climate tech ventures in a strategic leadership or investment function.
  • Understanding of impact measurement frameworks related to GHG reduction and decarbonization
  • Knowledge of construction, manufacturing and/or engineering industries a plus
  • Deep analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Experience with market, financial and business model analysis
  • Proven communications skills, both written and verbal, to distill complex and voluminous information into cogent and concise analysis for a variety of stakeholders
  • Collaborative: You thrive in team environments, believing that different perspectives and inclusive collaboration are essential to achieving success.
  • Adaptable: You excel in fast-paced environments, learn quickly, and are open to change and new ideas.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with the ability to think strategically and understand broader organizational contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deal process end to end from sourcing, due diligence, investment to exit
  • Perform detailed technological, financial and market due diligence of potential grants and investments
  • Oversee an annual funding allocation and present deals to investment committee
  • Provide diligence support as needed on cross-Autodesk initiatives that intersect with climate technologies, including our corporate carbon credits portfolio
  • Track overall health and trajectory of E&M portfolio
  • Support portfolio company governance, i.e. serve in select board observer roles
  • Drive portfolio companies’ accountability towards outcomes with the impact measurement team during annual reporting cycles
  • Deepen networks with venture funds, accelerators, philanthropies, and other corporates working in climate mitigation and related sectors
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the evolving climate tech landscape and represent the Foundation at industry events
  • Conduct sector and industry analyses to sharpen and refine our investment thesis as needed

Preferred Qualifications
