Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of professional or highly complex clerical work to include experience in research, analysis, or administrative investigations for Level I
- Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of professional or highly complex clerical work to include experience in research, analysis, or administrative investigations for Level II
- Juris Doctor; or bachelor’s degree plus two years’ experience in administrative, civil, or criminal investigations for Level III
- Juris Doctor plus two (2) years’ experience in the practice of law; or bachelor’s degree plus four (4) year experience in administrative, civil, or criminal investigations for Level IV
- Valid driver’s license
- Hold and remain current with Certified Discrimination Complaint Investigator certification
- Complete 6 CEUs of investigative training each calendar year
Responsibilities
- Investigate allegations of consumer abuse, neglect, or mistreatment at certified, contracted, and state-operated programs
- Gather and analyze physical or documentary evidence
- Interview witnesses
- Analyze business records
- Obtain signed statements and affidavits
- Prepare investigative reports and case records
- Present findings in impartial and properly documented reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification related to investigations such as CLEAR or other related investigatory certifications
