Inventory Control Manager – Distribution Center

Requirements

• 5+ years prior leadership experience in a position that focused on inventory management and control.
• Previous work experience in a warehouse or distribution center including material handling, inventory tracking, and providing work direction to other teammates.
• Associate Degree, or equivalent experience.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) ability highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of about 20 inventory control workers in the warehouse across several shifts.
• Regularly meet with the General Manager to discuss and review work methods, procedures, and controls, and staffing to achieve accurate and timely movement of product.
• Direct responsibility for the Inventory Control department including budgeting, P&L, and staffing.
• Partner with the GM to drive continuous improvement and maximize efficiency gains to reduce overall costs.
• Coach, train, and develop Team Members, providing both informal and formal job performance based feedback.
• Conduct start-up meetings to discuss daily results, directives/workloads, staffing needs, schedules, safety/housekeeping issues, and work assignments.
• Consistently monitor all safety procedures and ensure that all corresponding personal protection equipment (PPE) is utilized.
• Maintain and develop building slotting and profile plan in partnership with Ops Managers to drive efficiency and workflow through the Inbound and Outbound functions.
