Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
- Current license to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina
- Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required
- BLS/ACLS Certified
- Nurse practitioners with Master’s degree of Doctorate of Nursing Practice
- ACNP, AGACNP required based on population served
- Nurse practitioners are required to have Acute Care Certification
- Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required
Responsibilities
- Responsible for inpatient daily rounds, consultations, admissions, and discharges, along with clinic appointments
- Manage patients pre and post procedurally
- Perform admission, rounding, consult and discharge notes on patients in the inpatient and ED setting
- Adequately perform clinic visits in the outpatient setting
- Opportunity to participate in committees, especially those around improving care for individual service line
- Expected to participate in education of APP fellows, MD students, residents, or in onboarding of new APPs
- Responsible for the management of patients undergoing catheter-based interventions for coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a provider required; experience in Cardiology
- Highly motivated with superb communication and organizational skills with a commitment to provide quality care to the patients we serve in the Greater Charlotte community
