Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- One-year radiologic work experience
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) required
Responsibilities
- Perform technical duties utilizing various types of equipment to image selected vascular structures or therapeutic intervention to assist in diagnosis or treatment
- Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure
- Apply principles of positioning and radiographic sciences
- Ensure radiation protection is exercised with specialized techniques
- Assist and support the physicians with invasive procedures
