Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)
- Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body
- Certified Physician Assistant – National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Must be trained/licensed to treat patients of all ages (adult and children)
Responsibilities
- Perform some minor procedures independently following training and privileging to include but not limited to gastrostomy change, mediport removal, paracentesis, thoracentesis, tunneled catheter removal, thyroid biopsy and lymph node biopsy
- Responsible for non-procedural activities to include but limited to rounding on inpatients post procedure, triaging orders, clinic visits, communicating with referring services, H&Ps, discharge instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
