Requirements
- Enrolled in a credentialed and qualified finance and/or supply chain program from an accredited college, university or trade school.
- Safety awareness essential
- Possess professional written / verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers plantwide
- Computer literate – demonstrate a working knowledge and application of various software applications (e.g., WORD, XCEL, PPT, etc.)
- Good organizational/time management skills and efficient use of computer software is essential.
- Decision making skills, along with ability to understand pertinent laws, are critical.
Responsibilities
- Learning the SAP reporting associated with parts room stock and min/max.
- Evaluating the layout of the parts room for efficiency.
- Interacting with parts room personnel to understand processes of inventorying and signing in/out of parts.
- Assisting with instituting efficiencies in the parts room layout and inventory process, i.e. facilitating inception of the barcode scanning process.
- Evaluate what inventories on the books are obsolete and what inventories not on the books are still viable.
- Overall, assist in reducing monthly write-offs of parts.
- Interface with Maintenance management to understand maintenance needs.
- Periodically review with plant accountant and plant controller.
