Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in internal communications, employee engagement, HR programs, or similar roles—ideally in a marketing or creative environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for tone and audience
  • Experience planning and executing engaging internal events and programs
  • Passion for building inclusive, supportive team cultures
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Empathy, discretion, and emotional intelligence are a must

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate weekly, monthly, quarterly and bi-annual planning and operating meetings, keeping Wayfair’s global marketing team aligned and operating efficiently
  • Assess the current operating approach + experiment with new ways to reduce overhead and accelerate customer outcomes for a team of 400+ operating across the globe
  • Manage the internal communication cadence to keep core teams and stakeholders up to date on what is happening and key actions that need to be taken to keep us moving forward
  • Act as the point person for key executive communications streams including bi-annual planning, board updates, and other senior management comms as needed
  • Develop and manage internal communication strategies to keep the marketing team informed, aligned, and connected
  • Draft and distribute team-wide updates, leadership messages, and announcements
  • Support the rollout of organizational updates, including structural changes and promotions
  • Ensure communications are clear, consistent, and reflect the team’s culture and values
  • Plan and execute team meetings, events, and initiatives that foster connection, recognition, and engagement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve the employee experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large, cross-functional teams
  • A knack for visual storytelling or light design (e.g., decks, newsletters)
  • Proficient with Slack, Notion, Asana, or similar collaboration tools.
