Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Information Management, or other related field with two years’ experience.
- Four additional years of healthcare-specific internal audit experience in lieu of degree.
- CIA, CPA, CHA or CHIAP preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reviews operations or programs to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and whether the operations or programs are being carried out as planned.
- Reviews the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations that could have a significant impact on operations and reports and should determine whether the organization is in compliance.
- Evaluate systems to ensure adherence to policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Report on compliance status and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure programs are executed as planned.
- Assess whether operational results align with established objectives and goals.
