Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled, and in good standing, in an accredited college or university, as a sophomore, junior, or senior, upon date of hire and for the duration of the 12-month program, ending on August 8th (date TBD).
  • This in-person on-campus internship opportunity is for actively-enrolled students on an accredited college or university campus, who are 18 years of age or older.
  • This is a 12-month obligation that begins Monday, September 22nd and ends Friday, August 8th, 2026.
  • Must be a high character individual with a strong value system that is reflected both in person and across social media platforms.
  • Candidates are required to maintain confidentiality and integrity when effectively managing internal and external relationships.
  • Must be available to work up to 10 hours/week within the United States for the entire 12-month internship. We do not accept students studying abroad at any time for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the launch of a new St. Jude Collegiate Event by founding a registered student organization and implementing a high-impact fundraising initiative.
  • Drive towards a $25,000 fundraising goal through peer-to-peer efforts and sponsorships.
  • Build a strong foundation for a future-state volunteer-led event.
  • Work directly with the NextGen Program Team to stand up the fundraising event, gaining valuable mentorship and support throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with campus and student leaders, fostering a vibrant community that champions the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidate should possess strong relationships with student and faculty leaders, a general awareness of the organizational policies on campus and an entrepreneurial energy.
  • Candidates should display professionalism in all interactions as a part of the St. Jude Brand.
  • Experience and comfort in public speaking to large crowds and organizations with clear communication of St. Jude mission and campus efforts.
  • Proven leadership and successful fundraising experience in the peer-to-peer space.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
