Requirements
- Student studying for a BS in chemistry
- Experience in organic synthesis in a laboratory setting
Responsibilities
- Perform exploratory research in the synthetic preparation of new ingredients for taste evaluations
- Carry out diverse organic laboratory reactions involving a wide range of reagents
- Purify reactions via chromatography, distillation, or re-crystallization
- Setup and execute reactions on gram to kilogram scale
- Analyze product and data and accurately document experiments
- Keep laboratory clean and help maintain a safe environment
- Participate in team meetings and other activities
