Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in geotechnical, civil, geological, or related engineering program
- 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally with exposure to marine or coastal infrastructure
- E.I.T. designation required; P.E. or P.Eng. registration is preferred
- Knowledge of soil mechanics, slope stability, seepage, shallow and deep foundations, and ground improvement techniques
- Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., LPILE, APILE, Slide, PLAXIS, gINT, GeoStudio) is considered an asset
- Demonstrated technical writing and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- Willingness to travel for site work and client needs (domestic/international)
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and construction of marine and coastal infrastructure projects (e.g., ports, shore protection, breakwaters, and hydraulic structures)
- Conduct and assist in managing geotechnical and geophysical site investigations, including data review, interpretation, and reporting
- Prepare engineering analyses, calculations, and design documents under the guidance of senior staff
- Contribute to technical reports, memos, and design packages
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and modelers across offices and time zones
- Participate in QA/QC reviews, risk assessments, and design development meetings
- Engage in construction observation and provide technical support during project execution
- Continue to develop expertise in tools such as LPILE, APILE, gINT, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and similar platforms
- Participate in internal knowledge sharing and training sessions
