Requirements

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, law, social justice, public policy, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 8 years of progressive leadership experience in Title IX, civil rights, or related areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of Title IX, Title VI, Clery Act, VAWA, and other civil rights laws.
  • Experience conducting investigations and implementing equitable practices in higher education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interim and supportive measures to affected individuals, including housing support, academic support, and connections to resources.
  • Oversee the handling of formal and informal complaints related to discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct, ensuring prompt and equitable resolution.
  • Implement and maintain the university’s Discrimination and Non-Title IX Sexual Misconduct Policy and the Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of education and training programs to promote awareness and understanding of related policies.
  • Engage with the university community to foster a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Collect and analyze data related to discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct to identify trends and inform prevention and response efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the university, including faculty, staff, and students.

Preferred Qualifications

  • JD or Ph.D. preferred.
