Requirements
- Experienced in—or very familiar with—cleanroom fabrication processes including photolithography, deposition, etching (dry and wet), and thin film metrology
- Comfortable with technical terminology and eager to work hands-on in a lab setting
- Able to follow safety procedures and maintain focus at microscope and bench stations for extended periods
- Must be able to work safely with and around hazardous materials, chemicals and gases
- Dexterity in handling microelectronic chips and wafers is essential
- Highly curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn across multiple disciplines
- A proactive communicator and team player who enjoys solving complex technical problems
- Must be able to work with little supervision and be a strong team player
- A recent B.S. or M.S. graduate in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Work alongside senior engineers to support the fabrication and development of novel semiconductor devices
- Troubleshoot process issues by gathering data using metrology tools such as AFM, profilometry, ellipsometry, and optical microscopy, and SEM
- Assist in process development with various modules like – lithography, deposition, dry/wet etch, plating, etc.
- Document and analyze experimental results and present findings to a technical team
- Maintain cleanroom hygiene standards and follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and chemicals
- Contribute to process improvements and experimental design in an evolving R&D setting
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hands-on microfabrication cleanroom experience (academic or industry) is preferred
- Familiarity with process development and device fabrication workflows is preferred
- Exposure to infrared sensing or quantum computing technologies is preferred
- Experience with productivity tools (Excel, Words, PowerPoint) for data analysis and documentation is preferred
