Requirements

  • High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus either an associate degree or relevant experience.
  • Completion of a company apprenticeship program or its equivalent is required.
  • Electrician Apprenticeship program plus minimum of 5 years related instrument experience such as: Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Conductivity, etc. or Minimum of 8 years related instrument experience, per above.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and a proactive maintenance of systems and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensures that electronic and pneumatic instrumentation used in various Commission facilities functions properly.
  • Investigates reports of equipment malfunctions and takes necessary corrective action. Logging actions in the CMMS.
  • Use and understand the Safe work program, including Hot work, Line entry and confined space entry.
  • Keep up to date on all required training from JLL and the Pfizer PLS system.
  • Checkout/qualification of electrical input/output signals and related signal wiring for field instrumentation and devices.
  • Uses industrial test equipment such as ammeters, voltmeters, manometers, and oscilloscopes and specialized test equipment to monitor and calibrate instrumentation systems.
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and inspect process systems and supporting instrumentation throughout the facility.
  • Inspect and review manufacturing equipment installations for design and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Mentoring of apprentices in related field.
  • Review and update preventive maintenance tasks and procedures as needed.
  • Write and record pertinent work order information and data tracking.
  • Plot SCADA system inputs to troubleshoot and diagnosis instrument failure, calibration, and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated aptitude in basic mechanical, electrical and instrumentation skills and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience with cGMP and commissioning and qualification pertaining to pharmaceutical production operations and computerized systems are highly desirable.
  • General knowledge of production equipment and processes controlled by automation systems.
