Requirements
- Professional and/or academic experience in the field of Clinical and/or Counselling Psychology
- Thorough knowledge of contemporary major theories of counselling and psychotherapy, including client/person-centered counselling, cognitive-behaviour therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and post-modern approaches
- Registered with the College of Psychology of Ontario (or its equivalent)
- An advanced graduate level degree (MA, Ph.D., Psy.D., or ABD) in psychology is a requirement
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Preparation of lectures
- Student consultation
- Marking and grading
- Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional contacts related to the course content in the Niagara Region is an asset
