Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in instructional design or learning and development, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles required.
  • Experience using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline), Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday Learning, etc.) and SCORM/xAPI standards.
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training concepts.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passion for creating impactful learning experiences that drive behavior change and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging, learner-centered training materials—including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT), job aids, and microlearning—using instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM.
  • Translate complex sales, product, and technical information into clear, effective training experiences tailored to various learning audiences.
  • Support the design and delivery of both foundational and advanced learning programs that align with sales performance goals and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Instructional Design to ensure materials are consistent with established learning strategies and frameworks.
  • Partner with SMEs, facilitators, and the Sales Training Content team to gather content, define learning objectives, and validate accuracy.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and needs assessments to support program design and continuous improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with HR, Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to align learning content with business priorities and product updates.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain training content in the LMS, ensuring content is current, accessible, and well-structured.
  • Assist with learner experience design in the LMS environment, including navigation, tagging, and availability.
  • Troubleshoot content delivery issues and partner with LMS point of contact, administer and follow system updates, and evolving testing strategies.
  • Support the collection and analysis of learner feedback, knowledge checks, and training effectiveness data.
  • Using Tableau and existing training dashboards, analyze and recommend improvements to content, format, or delivery based on learner insights and business outcomes.
  • Help maintain a library of training materials and version history for internal use and auditing purposes.
  • Stay up to date on instructional design trends, adult learning theories, and training technologies including AI tools.
  • Explore creative formats and tools (e.g., video, simulations, interactive storytelling) to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Contribute ideas to elevate the learner experience and bring a fresh perspective to evolving content needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in instructional design, eLearning development, or training (e.g., ATD, CPTD, or similar) preferred but not required.
  • Automotive or technology industry experience a plus but not required.
