- Life Licensed (LLQP)
- Financial Acumen – sound knowledge of financial markets, fundamentals of financial planning
- Strong Life and Living Benefits product knowledge
- Understanding of competitive landscape and marketplace
- Post-secondary education
- Excellent organizational skills – able to respond to inquiries, suggestions, complaints and requests in a timely, courteous & professional manner
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Driver’s license and vehicle mandatory
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales Consultant to establish a strategic business plan for the territory with defined sales targets
- Proactively contact insurance advisors to gain information and insight into their practices
- Establish relationships with marketing staff of key producers/MGAs
- Provide insight and sales ideas related to the insurance industry, product knowledge & system training (BIC, Illustrations, Morningstar etc.)
- Position RBC Insurance products & solutions to prospects & existing clients; as well as identifying cross selling opportunities
- Advance the sales process with new prospects by booking presentations and meetings for the Sales Consultants
- Maintain contact management system and develop follow-up strategy for newly contracted brokers, thank-you for large cases, etc.
- Attain weekly metrics
