Requirements
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in infrastructure architecture and design.
- In-depth knowledge of architecture principles and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud and compute platforms (servers, virtualization), storage & data protection technologies, disaster recovery / cyber resiliency and datacenters.
- Knowledge of current and emerging infrastructure technologies and solutions.
- Proven experience with observability tools and practices.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security principals.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions that align with business goals and technology strategies.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices for infrastructure platforms.
- Ensure observability is integrated into infrastructure solutions for proactive monitoring and management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Provide expert guidance to the infrastructure team and other technical staff.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities and performance.
- Collaborate with the cyber security team to ensure that infrastructure solutions comply with security standards and best practices.
- Participate in the budgeting and planning process for infrastructure projects.
- Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on project status and infrastructure initiatives.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence aligned to McKesson’s i2Care and iLead values to ensure development and growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management is a desirable.
- Relevant certifications in Azure or related technologies are a plus.
