Requirements
- Degree or certificate in Information Science, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in information architecture, data strategy, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of taxonomy standards (e.g., Dublin Core, SKOS) and metadata management.
- Expertise in data governance frameworks and information classification.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive information architecture strategy aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Define and govern taxonomies, metadata schemas, and classification standards to improve information findability and usability.
- Create and maintain architecture deliverables, such as sitemaps, data dictionaries, and knowledge graphs.
- Lead efforts to improve information accessibility and usability across the platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Contribute to developing data management strategies and best practices.
- Design intuitive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with data analysts to translate complex data sets into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Optimize visualization workflows for both real-time and historical data analysis.
- Analyze organizational information needs and identify gaps in data strategy and usability.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve data architecture and management initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends and integrate best practices in information architecture and data strategy into our processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a DaaS, SaaS, or cloud-based environment.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and information retrieval.
- Familiarity with programming languages like SQL, Python, or R.
- Previous exposure to BigQuery.
- Background in data-driven projects within software, tech, or consulting.
- Experience in data best practices: data security, privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
