Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related subject and/or a combination of education and experience
  • 1 year of relevant experience in Industrial or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Box Build assemblies, SMT, and BACKEND processes is highly desired
  • Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (ie. Work measurement, process mapping, facilities, and workstation design, etc.)
  • Automation and PLC experience
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of CAD software such as SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in the use of industrial camera tools such as Vision
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

  • Project team members implementing projects that will eliminate waste through the standard Industrial Engineering process. This will include, but is not limited to: Capital Equipment Requests, Capabilities Studies, Plant Layouts, Tool Design, and Standard Work
  • BOM and shop floor system management
  • Develop Time standards for process steps to be used in the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB)
  • Gather and analyze Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customers or areas
  • Coordinate layout and facility move(s) for assigned customer or area(s)
  • Collect, analyze, and review IEDB data to ensure accuracy and compliance with the standard process
  • Monitor the SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations and ensure compliance with the standardized system configurations
  • Gather and/or develop data for quotes
  • Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team
  • Support and/or maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site following global, regional, and site direction
  • Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement throughout the organization
  • Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
