Requirements
- Understanding of engineering drawings
- Part inspection processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass a GD&T aptitude test
Responsibilities
- Inspect supplier and internal materials utilizing various mechanical tools and inspection techniques
- Document and communicate inspection results
- Create basic inspection plans off of drawing requirements
- Communicate nonconformance’s via ticketing system
- Provide periodic reports related to quality inspection results
- Help manage the MRB area
- Support Supplier Quality and Product Quality teams
- Help manage and organize tools for calibration
- Participate in internal compliance audits
- Maintain a clean, well organized work space
- Follow health and safety requirements
- Pivot daily responsibilities based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quality inspector or quality technician role
- Experience in quality control techniques and understanding of GD&T per ASME Y.14.5-2018 standard
- CMM and manual or automated optical measurement equipment experience
- Hands-on inspection skills (caliper, micrometer, thread gages, etc.)
- Experience with ERP and computer programs for inspection
- Experience with injection molding
- IPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality control plans
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar environment
