Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of caring, empathy and safety to ensure we meet every patient’s needs
• Provide and maintain a safe, neat, and clean patient environment
• Ensure the maintenance of supplies, equipment, and patient care in accordance with established procedure
• Participate in patient care activities as a member of the nursing team and under the supervision of a registered nurse

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting
