Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in an Imaging Systems technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of imaging systems for Google’s consumer hardware products.
- Research mobile imaging technologies.
- Perform simulation and testing to define imaging requirements for eye tracking, head tracking, and/or hand tracking.
- Investigate imaging experiences performance goals for multi-camera systems.
- Collaborate with our partners in System Product Development/Electrical Engineering, Camera Hardware, and Android Software team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or performing simulation products to map imaging requirements to KPIs for eye tracking, hand tracking, or head tracking.
- Experience performing proof of concept testing to define imaging requirements for consumer device camera systems.
- Software development experience in a scripting language (e.g., MATLAB or Python).
- Knowledge of one or more of the following: Photo and video processing pipelines, ISP algorithms, multi-camera calibration, computational photography, computer vision, machine vision, illumination design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
