Requirements
- Proven experience in ICT fixture design, test coverage assessment, and test methodology development within the manufacturing industry.
- General understanding of Flying Probe setup and test coverage.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and ICT testing for x86-based server and storage products.
- Deep understanding of PCB manufacturing principles and electronic components.
- Proficiency in ICT equipment, fixture design, and software tools (e.g., Teradyne, Keysight), as well as CAD software for fixture design.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and Manufacturing Partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with ICT bring-up, fine-tuning, troubleshooting, and working with board designers, layout engineers, and test fixture vendors, including providing detailed DFM (Design for Manufacturing) guidance to meet ICT requirements.
- Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Partners to review and optimize ICT fixture designs for efficiency and accuracy, and optimize test plans to find SMT, PCB, and component issues earlier.
- Evaluate ICT test coverage and propose enhancements to ensure comprehensive testing of electronic assemblies.
- Guide the cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Partners and Layout Houses, on design for manufacturing and test prior to production release, ensuring an optimal balance between PCB layout and testing requirements.
- Provide guidance in developing and implementing robust test methodologies that align with industry standards and best practices.
- Qualify and release testers for production by analyzing key metrics including cycle time, throughput, programming verification, and GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility).
- Lead discussions and workshops with cross-functional teams to refine testing strategies and improve product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex ICT-related issues during development phases with Contract Manufacturing Partners.
- Conduct thorough analysis of test results and provide actionable insights to improve product design and manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated on emerging manufacturing testing technologies, including ICT technologies, guide feasibility studies, and recommend adoption of new tools or techniques to enhance testing capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in reviewing PCB layouts and providing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) recommendations is highly desirable.
