Requirements
- 4-year degree in a scientific discipline.
- 5+ years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in various software applications typically used with the assigned discipline.
- Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Eligibility for registration in, or maintaining a good standing in, a professional organization.
Responsibilities
- Supporting contaminated sites in Western and Northern Canada.
- Thorough understanding of Alberta regulatory frameworks is required; experience with other regulatory frameworks (CCME, SK, MB, BC, NWT) is an asset.
- Working with GIS and databases.
- Regulatory communication and mentoring/supervision of junior staff.
- Working in one or more of the following disciplines: conceptual site model and data gap analysis, risk assessment, salt contamination tools, Tier 2 site-specific guideline modification, groundwater analytical and numerical models, remedial technologies/options evaluation, soil vapour intrusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher would be considered a bonus but is not necessary.
- 10+ year’s of related experience.
- Registered Professional Geologist or Engineer.
