Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field
- 10 or more years of experience in Aerospace industry which includes
- Experience defining and leading community engagement projects
- Experience working across technical and programmatic topics with a strategic mindset
- Superior analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including effectively explaining concepts to managers and government leaders
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Responsibilities
- Manage the task orders, financials, and customer engagement related to HESF exploration portfolios supporting various offices across the Strategy and Architecture Office (SAO)
- Manage the growing teams developing and implementing Artemis exploration initiatives related to science, curation, exploration operations
- Work with stakeholders to formulate Agency level workshops in support of communicating Artemis objectives and status with industry, academia and international
- Represent Aerospace across customer and industry forums
- Execute industry workshops in concert with ESDMD SAO activities
- Mentor and develop the team supporting the various exploration topics under contract
- Provide leadership to inform and support systems engineering and programmatic efforts within each of the program office’s
- Own, review and update government plans and processes and ensure implementation excellence
- Support development efforts leading growth across disparate program offices while driving integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering, science, or related field
- Expertise in building NASA teams and capabilities
- Current and strong working relationships with NASA across the agency
- Experience with life cycle review management and knowledge of technical disciplines related to human spaceflight systems and programs
- Proven track record of growing teams
