Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist HR Generalist (Benefits) in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of electronic personnel records, ensuring compliance
  • Facilitate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HRIS and with external benefits providers
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, etc.)
  • Assist with annual open enrollment processes, including communications, system updates, and employee education sessions
  • Maintain accurate benefits records, prepare reports, and audit benefits data regularly for accuracy and compliance
  • Support new hire onboarding related to benefits orientation and enrollment
  • Assist in developing and communicating benefits-related policies and procedures
  • Stay updated on trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in employee benefits administration
  • Function as a critical member of the dynamic Human Resources and Corporate Services team
  • Illustrate self-driven initiative in all activities by identifying areas of improvement, meeting deadlines, and providing fresh and creative solutions rather than reiterating a problem
