Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior or Development, Business or Public Administration, the Applied Behavioral Sciences, Industrial Relations or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority; OR Valid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one-year Human Resource experience; OR Three years Human Resource paraprofessional or technical-level experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer personnel actions and ensure leave law compliance for the agency’s employees.
  • Coordinate the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA), and Paid Leave Oregon requests.
  • Process personnel actions using the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Workday.
  • Assist with recruitment functions and process criminal record and driving record checks for employees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to enter, look up, reference or validate employee information.
  • Implementing or administering laws, policies, and procedures, including interpreting and applying relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping, data entry, and reviewing data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and processing sensitive data and documents.
  • Analytical skills including understanding concepts and identifying potential issues that may impact operations.
