Requirements
- Associates degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or two years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
- Experience in managing systems, processes, and people
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information
- Experienced user with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Must meet all agency requirements for pre-employment as required by ResCare and/or State regulations
Responsibilities
- Monitor and update recruitment plan
- Prepares and ensures accurate job postings and job requisitions
- Establishes and maintains external recruiting sources
- Assists applicants with completing application process
- Coordinates and/or conducts interviews with job candidates
- Ensures employee on-boarding process
- Completes references and background checks in accordance with company and state regulations
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- Performs HRIS data entry and audits employee data to ensure HRIS data integrity
- Conducts and/or assists with new-employee orientation
- Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information
- Ensures compliance with on-going personnel file maintenance
- Files documents into appropriate employee files
- Ensures compliance with terminated employee files
- Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and labor postings regulations
- Monitor and coordinate FMLA and LOA processes
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Ensures compliance with employee performance goals and annual evaluations
- Assists in employee relations and dispute resolution process
- Provide guidance and support in reviewing employee data for corrective action/termination requests
- Responds to unemployment claims and participates in unemployment hearings
- Provides guidance and support with HR related investigations
- Ensures company benefits are communicated with employees
- Coordinates annual open enrollment communications and election process
- Assist with benefits changes due to Status Changes and Qualifying events
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Participates in administrative team meetings
- Assists with and/or provides annual HR-related training to the workforce
- Reports, maintains and monitors workers’ compensation case files; follows-up on open cases
- Partner with Office Coordinator or designee to ensure payroll compliance
- Maintains and coordinates employee retention and recognition programs
