Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a human services or education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’re approachable, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Ability to use data to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred (or willingness to earn it within a year).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally between school sites- Trumbull, Stamford, and Naugatuck, CT.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on performance management, employee relations, and team development.
  • Collaborate across Recruiting, People Operations, and Workplace Learning to create a seamless employee experience.
  • Support organizational goals through strategic workforce and succession planning.
  • Provide data-informed insights to improve engagement, retention, and culture alignment.
  • Deliver training and coaching to managers and employees to support growth and development.
  • Guide managers through policy interpretation, employee relations matters, and performance conversations with empathy and consistency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred (or willingness to earn it within a year).
