Requirements
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a human services or education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’re approachable, thoughtful, and solutions-oriented.
- Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
- Ability to use data to inform decisions and measure impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred (or willingness to earn it within a year).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally between school sites- Trumbull, Stamford, and Naugatuck, CT.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on performance management, employee relations, and team development.
- Collaborate across Recruiting, People Operations, and Workplace Learning to create a seamless employee experience.
- Support organizational goals through strategic workforce and succession planning.
- Provide data-informed insights to improve engagement, retention, and culture alignment.
- Deliver training and coaching to managers and employees to support growth and development.
- Guide managers through policy interpretation, employee relations matters, and performance conversations with empathy and consistency.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP/SCP certification preferred (or willingness to earn it within a year).
