Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or 5-7 years of human resources generalist experience is required.
- Knowledge of labor law is required.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, and policy development.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to inform decisions and strategies.
- Report incidents and collaborate with the division HR manager on employee relations (ER) matters.
- Serve as a link between management and employees, addressing questions, resolving work-related issues, and interpreting contracts.
- Investigate incidents and recommend appropriate actions to foster a positive employer-employee relationship and high morale.
- Communicate and implement policies and procedures that align with company goals and regulatory standards.
- Identify legal risks and ensure compliance with EEO, ERISA, Wage & Hour, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation of personnel changes and appeals through the complaint process to promote fairness and transparency.
- Manage the full-cycle staffing process, including pre-employment testing, interviewing, and reference checks.
- Plan and conduct onboarding sessions to welcome new hires and instill company values.
- Provide training on benefits enrollment, workplace policies, customer service, and harassment prevention.
- Partner with the division HR manager on succession planning to identify and nurture internal talent for future roles.
- Perform benefit and payroll problem resolution.
- Analyze turnover and compensation data for corporate reporting and strategy development.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong HR generalist with expertise in employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, and benefits administration.
- Proven experience collaborating with field managers and personnel to address site-specific needs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive leader with the ability to handle day-to-day HR management and partner with leadership to make strategic decisions.
