Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in human resources preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with recruiting/applicant tracking systems and HRIS (e.g. Workday, Oracle, Peoplesoft, ADP, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to relate well with people, build rapport, listen effectively and use diplomacy and tact.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to identify problems and propose alternative solutions.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full life cycle recruitment efforts including: support job description creation, candidate sourcing, screening and interviewing.
  • Maintain HR records including physical and electronic employee files.
  • Responsible for HRIS maintenance, including new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, conversions, information changes, and reporting needs.
  • Assists in implementation of human resource policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee communications and/or meetings.
  • Assists with the support of multiple sites in the US and Canada.
  • Responsible for assisting with new hire orientation – includes administration, material preparation, and communications with HR counter parts, employees, managers, and presenters.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, IT, Office Services on all new hires and terminations.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, resolving work related problems, and interpreting and administering the collective bargaining and other company policies.
  • Regularly visit FPT sites to ensure employees have proper human resources support.
  • Participate in project work as needed including corporate led projects.
  • Support employee relations activities such as sending flowers/donations to employees for life changing events, employee recognition, etc.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Periodic travel to sites including but not limited to OH, MI, IL, TN, FL MS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Workday a plus.
  • Manufacturing or Industrial experience preferred.
