Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant HR Generalist experience in a global technology company
  • Strong ability to navigate complex HR issues and provide sound guidance on employee relations and compliance
  • Experience influencing and coaching leaders on HR best practices
  • Solid knowledge of Canada employment laws and a commitment to expanding your understanding, with familiarity with US employment laws as a plus
  • Proven track record in leading HR initiatives and driving continuous improvement in HR processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and maintain focus in dynamic environments
  • Proficiency with using data to inform HR recommendations and decision-making
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges and address them before they arise
  • A growth mindset, eager to learn, explore new ideas, and adapt to change

Responsibilities

  • Partner with global and regional HR Business Partners across time zones to deliver effective HR solutions and initiatives
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand objectives and provide proactive, strategic HR support
  • Develop, implement, and maintain regional HR programs in alignment with local employment laws and global standards
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries, representing the HR team with professionalism and empathy
  • Support the implementation of company-wide HR programs and initiatives in partnership with the global HR team and Centers of Excellence
  • Manage sensitive and confidential employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
  • Proactively monitor employee and manager sentiment (“pulse”) and escalate emerging issues or risks to HR leadership as appropriate
  • Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and data-driven recommendations to HR and business leaders
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance operational efficiency
  • Lead or support ad hoc HR projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Help plan and execute employee engagement activities, including social and in-person events
  • Maintain a periodic presence in the Vancouver office and work onsite as required

Preferred Qualifications
