Requirements
- 5+ years relevant HR Generalist experience in a global technology company
- Strong ability to navigate complex HR issues and provide sound guidance on employee relations and compliance
- Experience influencing and coaching leaders on HR best practices
- Solid knowledge of Canada employment laws and a commitment to expanding your understanding, with familiarity with US employment laws as a plus
- Proven track record in leading HR initiatives and driving continuous improvement in HR processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and maintain focus in dynamic environments
- Proficiency with using data to inform HR recommendations and decision-making
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges and address them before they arise
- A growth mindset, eager to learn, explore new ideas, and adapt to change
Responsibilities
- Partner with global and regional HR Business Partners across time zones to deliver effective HR solutions and initiatives
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand objectives and provide proactive, strategic HR support
- Develop, implement, and maintain regional HR programs in alignment with local employment laws and global standards
- Act as a key point of contact for employee HR-related inquiries, representing the HR team with professionalism and empathy
- Support the implementation of company-wide HR programs and initiatives in partnership with the global HR team and Centers of Excellence
- Manage sensitive and confidential employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
- Proactively monitor employee and manager sentiment (“pulse”) and escalate emerging issues or risks to HR leadership as appropriate
- Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and data-driven recommendations to HR and business leaders
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Lead or support ad hoc HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Help plan and execute employee engagement activities, including social and in-person events
- Maintain a periodic presence in the Vancouver office and work onsite as required
Preferred Qualifications
