- Proficient in Human Resource system such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Effective understanding and knowledge of FLSA regulations, payroll tax and employment law, along with the ability to apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitors WashU Medicine licensing and certification compliance across various systems and identifies gaps and opportunities to optimize operations.
- Adheres to university and HR regulatory standards for data management and integrity and validates supporting documentation.
- Analyzes data and prepares reports to support the response to government agencies and internal audit requests to maintain university compliance.
- Manages Service Award data and communication.
- Oversees blended rate and bonus calculations to meet FLSA guidelines.
- Provides expert support in Licensing and Certification requirements at WashU Medicine to keep current human resource system compliant.
- Maintains awareness of HR laws and regulations, and makes recommendations on how to apply changes that impact HR Operations workflows and tools related to licensing and certification.
- Communicates with data management leads and HR Operations Leadership on a routine basis regarding trends in data and collaborates to develop best practices that facilitate data integrity.
- Informs leadership in order to adjust operational procedures and tools to meet the changing regulatory needs and requirements.
- Reviews and analyses reports related to university compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations as they relate to human resources, with a focus on reporting license, certification and additional pay.
- Adheres to established SLAs by monitoring operational reports, assessing workload, and resolving issues.
- Engages in continual improvement through on-going training.
- Quickly and effectively responds to all departmental questions related to transactions as well as adheres to timeline driven standards.
- Assists key university stakeholders in interpreting and implementing changes in laws and regulations that impact licensing and certification.
- Assists management in responses to government and internal (JROC) audits and requests for information.
- Provides day-to-day leadership to the team executing the data entry/management within functional area the critical processing tasks in HR operations including facilitating just-in-time learning for team members, conducting/documenting formal knowledge transfer using relevant approaches (1-on-1 discussions, summaries, job aids, FAQ’s, etc.), and monitoring duties of team members to balance workload.
- Provides back-up support and assistance to the team. Participates in business process testing and initiatives as appropriate for assigned area of support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) – Society for Human Resource Management
