Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business-related discipline
- A minimum of 8 years of diverse HR experience; commercial client-facing experience
- Experience in a corporate environment with global responsibility
- Experience that has contributed to an understanding of the asset management industry including roles, business processes, and organizational structure
- In-depth understanding of HR concepts and principles gained through direct work experience, with a solid understanding of the ‘why’ behind policies and practices
- Demonstrated ability to operate with a solution-oriented mindset to influence outcomes and present to all levels of the organization
- General knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including exposure to jurisdictions beyond the U.S.
- Ability to translate strategic business directives into HR action plans focusing on meaningful areas of impact
- Inquisitive approach to solving complex or unfamiliar problems, seeking appropriate inputs to develop optimal solutions; ability to assess situations and make judgments based on practice or previous experience
- Successful track record of business impact through use of HR skills, including influencing and project management
- Experience coaching and advising leaders
- Ability to be a healthy disruptor and challenge the status quo even if the view is unpopular
Responsibilities
- Partner with global and regional business leaders to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly support and enable business priorities
- Strategically collaborate with clients to design and implement effective organizational structures
- Act as an organizational coach…help team build organizational capabilities and partner with leaders to maximize team performance
- Provide timely, effective and direct coaching to clients, assisting in the development of contemporary leadership skills (e.g. talent assessment & development, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement)
- Define & execute a talent assessment strategy for the organization; support the team’s succession planning efforts in line with evolving business needs
- Ensure performance management and reward practices drive appropriate performance differentiation and contribution
- Partner with leaders to enable a contemporary organizational culture, and use change acceleration techniques to assist in driving positive change; support business leaders in fostering an organization culture that values all manners of diversity
- Lead client groups through critical HR operating rhythms e.g. TCP, Talent Review, etc.
- Partner with HR specialist functions/COEs as needed to support business objectives, e.g. Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Employee Relations
- Educate and ensure compliance with the Company’s HR initiatives, processes and practices
- Provide occasional backup support for fellow HRBP teammates on an as-needed basis
