Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Previous administrative support experience.
  • Preference given to candidates with working knowledge and experience with a wide range of computer technology such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), databases, call center, and constituent relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and foster cooperation

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Campus Apartment occupancy and service goals in alignment with university leadership
  • Provide support and planning for key housing milestones including move in, move out, and summer residency for both future and current students. Provide direct student assistance with all elements of the housing experience.
  • Proactively engage with University Housing vendors to streamline operations and assist in administrative solutions for any potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize knowledge to provide administrative and financial support for program excellence.
  • May supervise and train lower-level staff, student employees, volunteers, and/or interns, as appropriate.
  • Responsible for effective delivery of Campus Apartment strategic communication plan in alignment with service and occupancy goals
  • Facilitate operational, non-emergency conversations focused on timely, direct, and effective collaborative solutions with students, apartments, and families.
  • Delivery of campus ‘on call’ duty responsibilities including schedules and updates for team members and students.
  • Assists with the delivery and distribution of campus crisis plan to key staff and assists with training. Provides insight, support, and planning for elements of potential crisis and care responses.
  • Coordinate and implement events in conjunction with the student engagement committee focused on maximizing the student experience with an emphasis on retention.
  • Provide support for the formation of clubs and organizations with a student focus including directly advising the National Society of Leadership and Success, SAAC, and fostering the implementation of potential new organizations.
  • Provide metrics and biannual review of events and activities with suggestions for changes and effectiveness.
  • Provide oversight and direction at the front desk for welcome center operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience preferred – especially at a college or university.
