Requirements
- BSN required
- Completion of MSN or graduate degree in related field within 2 years
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing work experience required (three years of nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience)
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative leadership to patient care units and other hospital departments
- Facilitate problem solving and communication to ensure ongoing safe operations of the Medical Center on assigned shift
- Communicate ongoing activities as necessary to the administrator on-call, nursing leadership, and respective department directors
- Ensure adherence of staff to the procedures, regulations, and policies as established
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in nursing leadership within one year of eligibility strongly encouraged
