Requirements
- 12+ years working in alternative investments, with focused private credit experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, with a major in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field (MBA highly preferred).
- Deep subject matter expertise across alternative investment strategies with a focus on private credit.
- Establish and maintain relationships within the private credit manager community.
- Client-facing experience and ability to represent 50 South Capital and Northern Trust Asset Management to the LP, GP and service provider community.
- Active listener who can understand clients’ specific needs.
- Exceptional collaborator and team-minded professional; driven by integrity and excellence.
- Robust communication and presentation skills. Ability to educate and translate complex and/or technical concepts in an understandable manner to a range of audiences.
- High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities
- Lead the private credit team and private credit focused investment offerings.
- Source and analyze potential investment opportunities across the private credit universe. This includes evaluating track records, strategies and teams.
- Communicating thoughts and opinions on firms and companies in a succinct, effective way, including identifying the key strengths and risks for each opportunity, and determining how certain information will be presented.
- Participating in meetings with clients and potential investors to discuss Northern Trust credit capabilities and fund solutions.
- Participating in the preparation of diligence materials as well as assisting with the creation of investment committee memorandums.
- Staying current with the general overall performance of our investments, participating in the creation and presentation of materials for quarterly portfolio reviews.
- Partner with credit team to develop, maintain, and proactively cover a targeted list of active and prospective fund managers via pipeline management, primary research, and profile building.
- Maintaining an ongoing dialogue and relationship with targeted private credit firms including attendance in update calls, in-person meetings, and annual meetings. The position requires travel.
- Representing 50 South Capital in an exemplary fashion to external industry participants in order to develop the Firm’s brand reputation in the market.
