Requirements

  • PhD, MD, or equivalent in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, or a related field with a strong research background in neurology is required

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to a highly talented and multidisciplinary team of scientists, researchers, and collaborators across global research centers
  • Develop and execute the research portfolio in neurology, from discovery through preclinical stages, ensuring a robust pipeline of novel drug candidates
  • Foster innovation through partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and biotech companies to advance cutting-edge neurology research
  • Ensure integration of the latest scientific advancements in neurology into Sanofi’s research programs and maintain a competitive edge in the therapeutic area
  • Oversee the effective use of resources, including budget management, talent acquisition, and team development, ensuring high performance within the neurology research function
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and scientific excellence across global research teams
  • Engage with key opinion leaders, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to maintain Sanofi’s leadership position in neurology research and development
  • Present progress and key findings to senior leadership, shareholders, and other external stakeholders, highlighting the impact of neurology research on the company’s overall strategy and success
