Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- At least 10 years of experience in technology leadership, with a proven track record in the insurance industry or a similar highly regulated sector.
- Strong experience in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, IT governance, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
- In-depth knowledge of insurance technology solutions, including policy management, claims, underwriting systems, and CRM platforms.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the MGA/Insurance Technology strategy to support business short- and long-term goals.
- Drive platform consolidation efforts across the MGA/Insurance business units to promote standardized, efficient operations and facilitate smoother Merger and Acquisition activities.
- Oversee the MGA/Insurance technology organization, ensuring effective management of resources and alignment with business objectives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies that can improve the company’s MGA/Insurance business performance and profitability.
- Ensure MGA/Insurance Technology systems and practices comply with industry regulations, data protection laws, and security standards.
- Ensure MGA/Insurance Technology complies to corporate policies and governance frameworks regarding risk management, disaster recovery, and data privacy.
- Drive MGA/Insurance Technology audits, performance reviews, and improve systems in line with regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer and other executives to manage cyber risks and implement proactive solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy across all MGA/Insurance Technology platforms and cloud solutions.
- Lead initiatives to leverage digital technologies such as AI, machine learning, big data analytics, and automation to drive innovation.
- Foster a culture of innovation and technology adoption across the MGA/Insurance business units, enhancing processes like claims processing, underwriting, and policyholder services.
- Oversee the implementation of customer-facing technologies like mobile apps and web platforms to improve user engagement and satisfaction.
- Oversee the deployment and operations of core MGA/Insurance systems, such as policy administration, claims management, and underwriting software.
- Ensure the optimization of MGA/Insurance business operations through automation and technology system integrations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the MGA/Insurance Technology organization, fostering collaboration and a high-performance culture.
- Ensure the development of MGA/Insurance Technology talent and provide ongoing training to keep the team updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.
- Build relationships across all business units to promote cross-functional collaboration and technology adoption.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and technology partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and manage the integration of external technologies and services.
- Develop and manage the MGA/Insurance Technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective use of technology.
- Prioritize MGA/Insurance Technology investments based on ROI and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
